When people look for great proxy providers such as scrapebox proxies, one main factor that they often consider is whether to go for companies that offer shared proxy, or to those that offer private proxies. If you're one of these individuals then this article is perfect for you. Get to know these two types of proxies and a bit of their advantages and disadvantages as well.

What Is A Shared Proxy?
This is a type of proxy that is often used by many individuals. One of its main advantages is that it has a low maintenance cost. This is because the total cost is shared with other proxy clients. Subscribers may also benefit from this low cost proxy because their subscription fees are also cheaper.

However as a twin of every benefit is the list of disadvantages, and one common disadvantage of a shared proxy is regarding the slow speed especially during peak hours. This is because many people tend to access one site at a particular time, and since they are sharing a proxy the speed will automatically slow down.

Another disadvantage is that you may have a chance to be blacklisted from a site. This happens when someone who is sharing the same IP address with you abused the proxy and got banned. Since both of you and many others are sharing this one IP address from a similar pool, then banning all of you is just an automatic action by the proxy.

What is a Private Proxy?

A private or dedicated proxy is a server that is exclusive only to the person. Its main advantage is that you own the whole service for yourself. You won't have to worry about slow speeds because there’s a next-to-none chance for this to happen.

However, this proxy may be pretty expensive since the maintenance cost will not spread out. This is one drawback of a private proxy.
